The Wild Curiosity

The Wild Curiosity pop-up shop for the Boston Winter Market embodies the brand’s core concept of rebirth—transforming bones, fossils, insects, and handmade curiosities into renewed works of art. Inspired by the “circle of life,” the design incorporates circular circulation paths, warm phoenix-like lighting, and symbolic motifs such as butterflies and the moon, all echoing the brand’s identity and commitment to natural, sustainable, and ethically sourced materials.

Material choices reflect this mission: bamboo plywood custom fixtures, sustainable clay brick walls, cork flooring for comfort and acoustics, slat wall paneling for flexible displays, and quartzite at the checkout counter. Velvet-lined display cases protect delicate jewelry, while acoustic bamboo paneling enhances the staff workspace. A glass greenhouse-style roof frames views of the night sky, grounding the space in nature and reinforcing the theme of renewal.

The curated layout includes illuminated built-ins, adaptable clothing displays, and a thoughtfully branded storefront featuring the shop’s signature butterfly-and-skull icon. Rendered perspectives, technical sections, elevations, and an exploded axonometric drawing illustrate how each detail contributes to a cohesive atmosphere—one where what was once forgotten is reborn into something beautiful, curious, and alive.
